J. T. Burian Theatricals presents:

Irish Authors Held Hostage

By John Morogiello

J. T. Burian Theatricals is proud to present Irish Authors Held Hostage by John Morogiello. The war on terror takes a hilarious turn in this unique comedy which lampoons the idiosyncratic styles of Ireland's finest writers juxtaposed with the violence of military and political extremists. The play comes to Boston after enjoying successful productions in New York, Washington, and Edinburgh.

Irish Authors Held Hostage presents a series of variations of the theme wherein famous Irish authors from the ages are held captive by terrorists of every stripe. Musical interludes between scenes enhance this original and intelligent comedy. Says Executive Avatar J. T. Burian, 'I'm delighted to bring John Morogiello's extraordinary play to the fine people of Boston. The play is at once funny and provocative and I believe it will have great appeal. You don't have to be Irish or a terrorist to enjoy the play, but you might want to be by the time it's over.'

Playwright Morogiello also performs in the play along with Terence Aselford, Lori Boyd, and Terence Heffernan. The play is directed by Martin Blanco.
